Your supervisor will be nearby at all times during your expedition. You will be taught how to deal with an injury or emergency during your training as well as who to call and how.
Most incidents can be avoided with good preparation and decision making, however, on very rare occasions things can go wrong; this could be something as simple as a member of your team tripping and hurting their ankle leaving them unable to walk.
If this does happen it's important that you know how to act and what to do. The below sections give an overview of the procedure that you will be taught.
When something goes wrong it can be a stressful or even scary experience. Take a deep breath, clam down and take the time to process what has happened and what you're going to do next.
Do not put yourself or your teammates in a dangerous situation; for example, if someone falls into some water and you follow in after them trying to help then you may end up in trouble too.
