We offer a standard 6-day programme comprising of:
3 days Training & Practice Expedition (including 2 overnight camps) along River Trent.
3 days Qualifying Expedition (including 2 overnight camps) along River Wye.

Training Day on inland water covering all paddle skills equivalent to British Canoe Start Award.

Lift, carry, launch the canoe; Efficient forward paddling; Steering the canoe; Manoeuvring & Turning; Moving sideways; Preventing a capsize; Returning and getting out; Securing.

Capsize, swim, self-rescue and Peer rescue.

2-day Practice Expedition (2 overnight camps) along the River to develop skills, team building and confidence.
Usually run as part of a combined Paddle Skills Training and Practice Expedition over 3 days.
Qualifying Expedition

Qualifying Expedition: 3-days, 2-nights including overnight camps along River. Supervised by our team of qualified & friendly leaders. Achieve Team Goal. Satisfy all of the DofE Expedition Requirements. Review & debrief at end of expedition with Assessor. Personalised Assessor Report uploaded to eDofE.

Public Liability Insurance (£10million), AALA and AAP Licences
Submission of Assessor Reports directly onto eDofE (using DofE Assessor Report portal)
