Karos Adventure offer DofE expeditions at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. We provide both walking and canoeing at each level with a complete or bespoke service. Please see individual pages for further detail.

*For Caledonian Canal trips, there is a surcharge of £60.00 + VAT per person to cover a loch-based Training Day plus extra camping fees.

Please note that all school expedition programmes are subject to a minimum of 12 participants. However, if you have fewer than this, please speak to us as we may be able to run alongside other school teams, enabling us to share staff, whilst continuing to deliver a safe and affordable programme.

Canoeing programmes include: 

• canoes (Open Canadian Canoes)

• paddles 

• buoyancy aids 

• throwlines 

• paddlesport dry bags.

We also have a supply of 65 litre Expedition Rucksacks which are available for participants to hire on a "first come, first served" basis. We also have a few small back system rucksacks (also known as "Slimjim" rucksacks) which have a tighter waist belt and adjusts to smaller backs. Hire fee is £10.00 + VAT per rucksack, and this covers Training, Practice and Qualifying Expeditions (can lead to a saving of up to £90.00 for participants who would otherwise be buying a new rucksack for DofE).
