Training & Practice Expedition

Training day focusing on Navigation & Compass Skills Training in Silver terrain, and also includes campcraft and expedition skills needed for Silver Expeditions in rural areas.

2-day Practice Expedition (2 overnight camps) in terrain similar to Qualifying Expedition to develop skills, team building and confidence.

Qualifying Expedition

Qualifying Expedition: 3-days, 2-nights including overnight camps. Supervised by our team of qualified & friendly leaders. Achieve Team Goal. Satisfy all of the DofE Expedition Requirements. Review & debrief at end of expedition with Assessor. Personalised Assessor Report uploaded to eDofE.

Standard Silver Expedition Programme

7-day programme comprising of:

1 day in-school Expedition Preparation & Planning Workshop.
3 days Training & Practice Expedition (including 2 overnight camps) in Peak District.
3 days Qualifying Expedition (including 2 overnight camps) in Peak District.

Suitable for all participants who have completed their Bronze Expedition.

Silver Direct Entrant Expedition Programme

Our Standard Package is suitable for all participants who have completed their Bronze Expedition. If there are a small number of Direct Entrants included in a larger group, we recommend that those participants also attend the school's Bronze Residential Training. We will absorb those numbers within existing Bronze teams, with just an additional £10.00 + VAT per person charged to cover the overnight camping fee.

If all participants are Direct Entrants, we recommend our Direct Entrants 9-day programme comprising of:

1 day in-school Expedition Preparation & Planning Workshop.
2 days Residential Training in lowland area to build solid foundation of navigation and expedition skills.
3 days Training & Practice Expedition (including 2 overnight camps) in Peak District.
3 days Qualifying Expedition (including 2 overnight camps) in Peak District.

This package is suitable for participants with no prior DofE expedition experience.

Standard Silver Package (7 days):
£260.00 + VAT (£312.00 inc. VAT) per person (minimum 10 participants)

Silver Direct Entrant package (9 days):
£315.00 + VAT (£378.00 inc VAT) per person
